The articulation of overall corporate aspirations and strategies; driving and monitoring of corporate performance; and implementation of sound corporate governance are among the fundamental responsibilities of the Board of Directors. We therefore recognise the need to have individuals with exemplary personal attributes; vast experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship and leadership; coupled with sound understanding of our industry. They include:
Adetokunbo Ajayi, Managing Director
Before joining Propertygate, Tokunbo was the Executive Director, Enterprise Division of Crown Realties Plc, a property development company in Nigeria. At Crown Realties he occupied various positions, which included Group Head corporate services, General Manager and Secretary, Board of Directors. He has more than 18 years work experience in real estate development, representing a substantial part of his over 20 years work career.
He has acquired over these years, extensive knowledge, skills and experience, spanning property development, investment, finance, construction, marketing, property management, legal services and general management. He was a key member of a corporate restructuring and institutionalization team, which worked among others on strategic formulations and process re-engineering.
Tokunbo holds a Master of Science Degree in Real Estate Development and Investment from the University of Greenwich, U.K; a Master of Law from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor of Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. A member of the Nigerian Bar, Tokunbo has attended many executive courses, among which are the Real Estate Executive Seminar at Havard Business School, the Executive Series Program at the Center for Real Estate, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); the International Housing Finance Program and the Workshop on Securitization, both at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Jonathan Oluwole Ogungbola, Director
Wole is the Managing Partner of Wole Ogungbola & co., a leading firm of Estate Surveyors and Valuers based in Lagos. A real estate practitioner with over two and a half decades of experience in the industry, Wole’s road knowledge and experience cover property marketing, property and facility management, valuation, property development and investment, property advisory and general real estate consulting.
Wole held various top positions in organisations he earlier worked for, which included the Managing Surveyor at Kayode Olubajo & Associates, Head of Agency and later a Partner at Darl Uzu & Associates. At Darl Uzu & Associates, Wole was the interfacing officer with Crown Realties Plc over its Crown Estate Lekki Project, where he played an extensive role at its development conception and marketing.
Wole holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Estate Management from the University of Lagos, and also a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same University. Wole, a member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, is a scholar with attendance at various real estate courses, seminars and conferences. He acted as a resource person at some of these conferences.
